We believe senior pictures should showcase your interests and hobbies! When AJ mentioned that she wanted to wear one of her costumes for some of her senior pictures, it was an immediate YES for me! These photos should absolutely represent who you are and how you like to spend your time.
Wear a Costume for Senior Pictures
AJ has a lot of friends that are involved in Cosplay and is also an award-winning idol dancer. How cool is that?! I love that she has such a strong community of like-minded individuals who get together and coordinate their costumes, do photo shoots, and attend conventions!
Fun fact: We had to get this session scheduled before she dyed her hair a bright color so that we would be able to get a few traditional (non-costume) senior photos during our session!
This full costume look requires not only a very detailed costume, but also a wig perfectly placed with hair accessories. But one of the most complicated parts of this costume is the makeup! Because of this, she arrived fully ready to go with makeup done to begin our session, and we started with this outfit! SUCH a fun way to start the day!!
Colorful Backdrops for Cosplay Senior Photos
The best way to bring out a fun vibe is always to add COLOR! Cosplay costumes like this are very colorful and interesting, and adding a colorful background was just what we had in mind when we planned for session day! AJ had suggested pink or yellow, so we did both!
I love being able to customize sessions and do exactly what a senior describes. If they have a vision, I'm on board! And I think her vision came to life here! I am glad that we started this session inside the studio, as I think that was the best way to keep the focus on AJ in the costume.
