Emma was such a joy to work with! She had chosen the perfect outfits and locations for her late Summer senior portrait session. This Hilliard Darby student came from Hilliard to Westerville to start her session experience off with professional hair and makeup before heading to her first photo location in Uptown Westerville. We switched scenes completely after that and ended the evening at Inniswood Metro Garden for some floral and woodsy backgrounds for her senior pictures.
Hilliard Darby Senior Pictures in Uptown Westerville
Uptown Westerville is actually one of my most requested senior picture locations. I can see why, though, because there are truly so many options for variety. There is a lot of character in these colorful older buildings, and there are so many choices of where to explore. No two sessions are alike in downtown Westerville. This urban setting was a perfect start to the day!
Emma wore her Hilliard Darby letter jacket for a few of her senior pictures. Those are always a favorite of mine because nothing says high school like the traditional letter jacket. And while she may not wear it much after graduation, it symbolizes this special time in her life.
A casual look here in an alley way making for a unique spot for a sitting shot. I really like this outfit choice, too!
This might be one of my favorite photos from her senior session! Her smile is the best and this close-up showcases so much beauty and joy! I love the way her curls fall so nicely here and I think the blue stucco wall as a backdrop looks great with her hair color and black outfit.
Saved this one below for last because it was a family favorite!
Hilliard Darby Senior Portraits at Inniswood Metro Garden
We ended her session at Inniswood Metro Garden in Westerville. This park has so many photography options that I actually shoot here quite frequently but don't need to use the same spaces. The flowers above were unique to this past Summer in that location, as each season there will be something different. I love the way the colors work with her pink top.
The golden sunlight comes through beautifully in this park in the evening. Doesn't she have the most beautiful smile?
It's a bonus that the sunflowers were in bloom for our session! Had to get a couple with those unique yellow blooms.
A quick outfit change is made so easy at this park since there are multiple restrooms available. For times when there is not, I always have my pop-up changing tent for a easy, quick change on the go. Again with the beautiful flowers setting the stage for this gorgeous senior. I love the sandals she chose to go with this look. Don't they look perfect with the pink dress?
We finished the evening in the rose garden as the sun was going down. With so many beautiful colors of roses to choose from, there are plenty of options for senior portrait backdrops.
Emma's session was one of my Summer favorites. Between the thought and planning she put into her outfits and her sweet personality, it was a great session. Through our conversations during her session, I could tell that she has a natural motivation and determination about her. There is no doubt in my mind that no matter what she decides to do after high school, she is going to absolutely achieve it. Congratulations, Emma! Want more info on a custom senior portrait session?
