Unique Senior Picture Ideas That Show Off Your Personality
Senior pictures aren’t just a milestone experience in12th grade. They’re your chance to celebrate everything that makes this moment in time unforgettable!
Gone are the days of stiff poses and cookie-cutter backdrops, at least with Westerville Senior Photography. Today’s senior sessions are about personality. Interests. Confidence. And a little creativity. Looking for a unique senior picture idea that actually feels like you (or your senior)? Here are some fun, bold, and meaningful ways to make your session stand out—and tell your story in the process.

Show Your Sport in Senior Pictures
Whether it’s lacrosse, soccer, tennis, or cheer—sports are a huge part of high school life. So why not showcase that?
Bring along your gear, letter jacket, or even full uniform. We’ve showcased sports in so many ways it's hard to count! We can brainstorm together.
Pro tip: Don’t worry if you’re not “serious” in your pose—some of the best images come when we’re just tossing a ball around or laughing at a fumble.

Let Music Take Center Stage
Guitar. Violin. Drumsticks. Even a tuba. Musical instruments don’t just photograph beautifully—they say something about your creativity and dedication.
We've done formal studio portraits with instruments, or had teens hanging with their guitar in the park or downtown. We've been on marching band fields and had large instuments like cello and bass brought to sessions. Whether you’re classically trained or self-taught, music is a part of your voice and I love helping that show up in your images. These photos should show off your personality.

Cars Are Meant to Show Off
If you love your car (or truck, or Jeep…), bring it! Whether it’s a classic rebuild you’ve been working on with your grandfather or the first car you bought yourself—your ride is part of your journey. These should be your personality in senior pictures!

We’ve done sessions with a lot of vehicles and have plenty of ideas for how to show off your ride in your senior pictures! And most importantly, a good place to park it for a background that works for you!
Unique Settings for Senior Pictures
If fitness, strength training, or athletics are part of your lifestyle, why not capture that dedication? From gyms full of weights to wrestling rooms, basketball courts, hockey rinks, football fields, bowling alleys and more, we've gone with our seniors to where they love to be to photograph them in their most natural element!

We've even been lucky to work with a couple seniors going into aviation after high school, and that led to unqiue photos with an airplane. Airport hangars, runways, or even just aviation-themed outfits (hello, bomber jacket!) can give your session a cinematic, aspirational feel. It’s bold. It’s personal. And it’s definitely not boring!

Your senior pictures should tell a story: yours.
